    Simon chairs our Investment Committee, ensuring the translation of our investment philosophy into disciplined processes and successful investment outcomes for our clients.

    Technical Director

    Patrick’s level of expertise in NHS pension analysis and the likely impact on wider financial scenarios is matched only by his unswerving work ethic. He is constantly striving to help his clients, often becoming long-term friends with those who come to rely on his calm, unphased manner and sound judgement.

    With constant regulatory change in both the financial and medical worlds, Patrick ensures our staff and therefore our clients, are always well informed and better prepared to navigate the revised path ahead.

    He mentors the full financial planning team, developing our talent base with an Advanced Skills Academy and a commitment to continual growth for colleagues.

    Patrick also works closely with other professional service providers and is an authoritative and well-trusted source of technical information for those in the legal and accountancy fields.

  • Tony Slocombe

    Head of Risk and Governance

    Tony leads our compliance team having worked in the full range of financial services from discretionary investment management and stockbroking to financial planning. As such, his experience and skill set are highly valued by his colleagues.

    Tony ensures our advisers are charged with achieving the highest standards of accuracy in their work and strive to go ‘above and beyond’ the general guidelines prescribed by our regulators. He believes that much like the medical profession, lifelong learning, efficient processes and stringent controls are key to providing an effective service to our clients.

    With his steady guidance, we can be sure our clients receive communications they can understand, services that meet their needs and support that helps their decision-making process.

    Head of Operations

    Jamie manages a continuous programme of development across our facilities, our technology and our talented team. He is responsible for driving and improving our day-to-day processes throughout the organisation while raising the bar on quality and skills at every level.

    Jamie ensures our financial advice team can deliver their services to clients efficiently and effectively and that together we can offer the very best client experience.

    As part of his commitment to lifelong learning for all, Jamie has also developed our Cavendish mentoring programme. This allows us to challenge each other while learning and growing collectively.

    Head of Advice Delivery

    As a company we are justifiably proud of the strength of our advice team and the technical knowledge we share with clients. Leanne ensures the information and recommendations we provide are clear, accurate and beneficial, knowing that our clients will base significant decisions on the contents of our reports.

    Leanne also leads the Cavendish NHS Forum, delivering essential updates and training to our adviser team on the many changes to pay, pensions, taxation and retirement regulations for our clients. This extensive knowledge allows us to maintain the utmost standards of specialist advice.

    Leanne has reached Fellowship of the PFS (Personal Finance Society). This is the highest qualification awarded by the CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) – the professional body of the insurance and financial planning profession.

  • Hugh Davies

    Senior Financial Planner

    Hugh’s clients can expect a very personal service and will benefit not only from the knowledge gained from 30 years within the financial services profession but also the life experience that goes with that length of practice.

    Hugh advises clients from all industries but believes the Cavendish team has an excellent understanding of the career progression and lives of senior medics, whether clinical or academic. He is adept at applying comprehensive financial planning to their situations and delivering successful investment outcomes.

    Financial Planner

    Elliot has specialised in solving complex NHS issues for our clients for over a decade. He understands what is important to them, what milestones they are reaching and how their objectives for later life may be evolving. He looks for possible opportunities for growth or identifies challenges requiring attention – all part of the partnerships he creates.

    Elliot also sits on our Investment Committee, helping to establish a sound framework for the firm’s investment policy. This team oversees our full investment proposition for clients, assesses portfolio performance, and monitors market data.

    Many clients may have first sought Cavendish for our NHS expertise. Elliot is also part of our NHS Forum and helps the team keep ahead of near-constant changes to pensions and remuneration so that they can deliver sound counsel for clients needing to make important decisions.

  • Rob Hughes

    Chartered Financial Planner

    Rob is a straight talker. His favourite part of his job is chatting through financial matters – whether it is guiding people to make good decisions or gently challenging their beliefs. He creates long-term partnerships with his clients who respect his no nonsense, no gimmicks approach.

    Rob has achieved chartered financial planner status and has also studied human behaviour and communication. He uses his interest and experience in these areas to ensure his clients always have a clear understanding of the options available to them.

    When Rob meets a new client, he focusses on the areas of their finances which are not working and quickly identifies solutions. He never over-complicates matters, presenting simple concepts efficiently – including being able to reduce the complexity of the NHS remuneration and pension packages.

    Sam endeavours to be a companion to his clients, caring as much as they do about their financial aspirations. He provides direction when they feel lost and support to find the best way forward. His passion is working directly with his clients and believes they are some of the most interesting people he has met. Here we know everyone personally and share the major milestones and life events with them.     Kacie joined Cavendish having been impressed with our holistic approach to solving clients’ financial concerns. She believes that we deliver expert, medical-focussed advice while still offering the full gamut of financial planning services.

    Kacie enjoys that our planning meetings with clients are in-depth and that we take the time to truly get to know people. We find out the wider picture because we know that life is always about more than money. We listen, we build trust and remove as much worry as possible from clients so that we can get to what is really important to them.

    Kacie is especially interested in behavioural finance and investment coaching, looking to guide her clients to make rational financial decisions that lead to successful outcomes.

    Financial Planner

    Jemma brings a positive, can-do attitude to help her solve clients’ complex pension and retirement issues. She relishes the challenge of working out solutions – possibly a legacy of her mathematics degree – and using them to help our clients achieve their broader financial objectives.

    Jemma strives to understand the daily concerns of a consultant, taking time to know their typical and importantly, their atypical career paths, contracts and connections. It is this specialist knowledge of their NHS and private practice interests that sets Cavendish advisers apart from the rest of the field.

    Jemma is particularly sporty and brings a team-player mentality to her role which ensures she is not only popular with colleagues but also her clients who establish long-term relationships with her.

  • Sanjay Gohil

    Head of Professional Partnerships

    Sanjay has over 30 years of experience in financial advice, accountancy and wealth management. He spent many years as an adviser before moving into a new role at Cavendish, leading our work with professional partners and external stakeholders within the medical community.

    He has extensive academic interests in financial services marketing which he developed during his MBA and MSt studies at the University of Leicester and Cambridge University respectively. He also achieved a scholarship at Warwick University to research financial services marketing. Sanjay strives to translate this exceptional theoretical knowledge into mentoring advisers on servicing the needs of their clients.

  • Amber Cogger

    Senior Assistant Financial Planner

    Amber has ten years’ experience in the financial services profession and has already achieved chartered status in financial planning.

    Organised and methodical, she is able to oversee the full client journey from initial meetings to achieving a positive outcome. Amber enjoys understanding clients’ needs, researching effective planning strategies and implementing best-in-practice recommendations.

    She likes being part of a proactive and fun office and also sits on our social committee.

  • Steve Warren

    Senior Assistant Financial Planner

    Steve has been providing exceptional support to our adviser team for over ten years, working closely with financial planner Hugh Davies. He has achieved Chartered status in financial planning and is involved with all elements of client work, with a particular interest in resolving doctors’ pension tax queries.

    Steve specialises in conducting exhaustive technical pension research and calculating future pension projections with a keen eye for detail.

  • Laura Davey

    Senior Assistant Financial Planner

    Laura supports our financial planning team, working closely with director Patrick Convey. She is highly skilled in her work, having already achieved Fellowship status of the PFS (Personal Finance Society).

    Laura is responsible for producing comprehensive reports, conducting technical analysis and ensuring clients’ financial plans are reviewed and assessed for continued suitability. Friendly and approachable, she enjoys seeing clients benefit from our efforts.

  • Alexandra Dennis

    Senior Assistant Financial Planner

    Alexandra is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Financial Planner. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 12 years with 9 years’ experience in financial planning and advice. Proficient in long-term cash flow modelling and analysis, Alexandra also has a keen interest in estate planning and inheritance tax mitigation.

    Reception Manager

    Tokelo is likely to be your first point of contact if coming to visit Cavendish. She is welcoming and friendly while ensuring our offices, our meeting rooms and our facilities are all running smoothly.

    Tokelo holds a degree in modern history so brings her analytical skills and her capacity for problem solving to her role. She has a dynamic, professional attitude making her popular with colleagues and clients alike.
